Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome back to our new school year and a very warm welcome to our new parents and our new Junior infants. We hope everyone had an enjoyable summer break.

Pupil’s Accident Insurance:

Allianz will again offer Personal Accident Cover to each pupil. This will cover you for injuries that may occur in school, at home or at other after school activities should you choose to avail of the second option. If you wish to avail of this insurance, please return this to school by Monday 12th September.

Code of Discipline:

For the safety and wellbeing of all pupils each teacher will go through the school rules this week. A full Code of Discipline may be viewed in the school office. The shortened version of the rules is attached for you to go through with your child. This is to be signed and returned to school by Monday 12th September.

Swimming will begin on Wednesday 14th September.

Healthy Lunches:

We promote a healthy lunch policy in Holy Family N.S. Each Child is encouraged to bring a healthy lunch.

Education Welfare Act:

The school is obliged to notify the Education Welfare Board when a child is absent for 20 days or more during any school year. Please supply a note when your child is absent.

Children will be supervised on the school yard from 9.15am. If the morning is wet children will wait in the classroom of the teacher on yard duty. If it is raining at 3pm children will exit the school via the front fire exit.
