Busy Time in School at the Moment

We’ve been keeping extremely busy over the course of the last few weeks. Here’s just some of what we’ve been up to….

1) INTO Handwriting Competition – pupils from infants upwards have entered samples of their best handwriting.

2) Scríobh Leabhar Project – Pupils from infants to sixth have created books in irish. These have been swaped with books written by another school and we are now busy reading away.

3) Catholic School Week – we recently celebrated Catholic Schools Week which included a bible study day and a very sucessful Grandparents Day event.

4) Three teams were entered in the Schools Quiz held in Lisgoold.

5) 3rd and 4th Class attended a Soccer Blitz and an enjoyable day was had by all.

6) Sciath na Scol matches will be starting shortly and pupils are busy training for these.

7) Many of our pupils are busily preparing for their Confirmation and Communion. On 4th March a Naming Ceremony was held in the church in Shanagarry for Confirmation pupils.

8 ) Computer classes continue to be ongoing after school on Tuesdays

9) World Maths Day – pupils were kept busy practising for World Maths Day on Wed 3rd of March

10) Gymnastics willcontinue until Friday March 19th

11) World Book Day – Pupils celebrated world book day with some enjoyable book themed lessons.
